Interviewing for Business Analyst role at Onnivation Ventures
As Onnivation started looking for leaders to join the team, we started writing some notes internally about the type of prospective candidates we were looking to hire, as well as the types of conversations we were looking to have, and decided to open up the process to let people get a glimpse of the cool work we do.
Onnivation is a unique cross border market accelerator that invests in the India Business of Israeli deep tech companies and helps them grow in India by providing the local team, capital and run the sales and growth.
Onnivation has a portfolio of 15 companies in the areas of E-commerce, Retail, Data Science & Analytics, AI, Cloud, Security, Marketing and Ad Tech Space.
5 key responsibilities:
- Identifying the best deep tech SAAS companies in Israel.
- Product- Market Fit Analysis for the India market.
- Thesis Generation.
- Building a Go To Market Strategy.
- Involved in driving Sales for the company in India.
Who Onnivation is looking for….
- Someone who understands how a SAAS company operates, grows and competes.
- Someone who can form an opinion, defend it, understand the assumptions/conditions whereby they should stand by their argument, and when they should not.
- Someone who can quickly build rapport with potential founders and works well in a team.
- Hungry, self-starter, independent, intelligent, opinionated, hardworking, etc
- Insanely curious, reads and asks a lot of questions, and looking for something to prove.
- Hungry to always improve and automate processes.

Thesis Generation

- Discussion about a specific vertical suggested by the candidate, and what opportunities lie in this space
- How would you disrupt (choose a unicorn name most familiar to candidate)?
- Tell me about the biggest challenges that come when you work with others?
